Application

The ALF serves to secure persons on ladders or other more permanent structures. It is designed for use in high-ropes courses, as work protection or for sport climbing. It may only be used with semi-static ropes approved by the manufacturer.

Use

This retractable type fall arrester blocks as soon as a sudden downward movement occurs, regardless of the running direction e.g. excessive dropping, fall, loss of balance.

In ropes courses the structure should comprise an all-round system with two knots. As soon as the first user has reached the upper end of the ladder, the second user attaches the rope to the lower end on the harness and starts climbing. This allows high throughput of guests. The system may only be used by one person at a time climbing upwards or descending.
